The new Porsche 911 TV Commercial “Compete”

Through the magic of film, we get to see what would happen if Muhammad Ali stepped in the ring against himself. If Maria Sharapova faced off against herself. And if Magnus Carlsen sat across a board from himself. All to help tell the story of a new 911 being born.

International editorial company Whitehouse Post has spliced together a high-octane campaign for Porsche called “Compete,” where iconic sports figures from past and present do battle against their greatest opponent: themselves.

The self-reflective: 60 ad features tennis star Maria Sharapova, chess extraordinaire Magnus Carlsen and a CGI version of living legend, Muhammad Ali, as they do battle with their doppelgangers at an intensity that matches the high speeds of dueling Porsche autos. Known for his dynamic and fluid style; Whitehouse Post editor Adam Marshall expertly weaves a vivid portrait in which the ferocity of a boxing match, the power displayed on the tennis court and the tension on the chessboard build a momentum to parallel the rapid pace personified by the German automaker.
