Girls star Allison Williams asks her celebrity friends and family if they think she's edgy in Comedic Short Film for Allure

Big Block director Vincent Peone (of Josh + Vince fame) captures actress Allison Williams as she sets out on an edge-finding mission in an online film created to celebrate her March Allure cover. Worried that she may be too sweet and cuddly, Peone evokes William’s natural charm and spot-on sense of comedic timing as she hits the streets of New York City, going out in search for clues to an “edgy” side that just may not be there.

From her glam squad to the bodega guy, Williams questions some of her most trusted confidants, and receives plenty of well-meaning compliments but no hints of a darker side. A cavalcade of well-known faces attempts to build her up while tearing down her hopes for discovering her alternative persona. Among the celebrity cameos is pop icon Katy Perry, dad Brian Williams, and Girls creator and co-star Lena Denham. The humorous bit of soul-searching yields some edifying results, even if they’re not exactly the ones Williams was looking for.
